Building Unity Through Core Beliefs

So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. – Matthew 6:33 TPT

GOD’S NATURE:

We believe in the One True God—known as Jehovah, Yahweh, and Elohim—who eternally exists as love and is always good. His characteristics work in perfect harmony, for example, what His justice demands, His mercy provides through Christ’s redemptive work on the cross. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 4:8, 16; Psalm 100:5; Exodus 34:6-7; Romans 3:25-26; Psalm 85:10; Isaiah 45:5; Psalm 89:14)

THE TRINITY:

We believe God’s eternally exists in unity as three distinct persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, mutually submitted each to the others in perfect fellowship and divine purpose. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1-2, 14; Genesis 1:1-2, 26; Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:16-17, 26; 1 Peter 1:2)

THE FATHER:

We believe God eternally exists as the Father, the eternal source and origin of all creation, the loving Father who sent His only begotten Son, the sovereign Lord over all, and the perfect Father who adopts believers as His children. (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:3-5; Matthew 6:9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; James 1:17; Romans 8:15-16)

THE SON:

We proclaim by faith that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the exact representation of the Father’s nature, both fully God and fully man through virgin birth. He fulfilled all the Law and Prophets and reigns as Lord of all creation with complete authority. Salvation comes through no other name. (John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1:15; Matthew 5:17; Luke 24:44; Isaiah 7:14; Galatians 4:4-5; Matthew 28:18; Philippians 2:9-11; Romans 10:9; Acts 2:36; Colossians 1:16-18; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Revelation 19:16)

THE HOLY SPIRIT:

We believe that all who are saved have access to and experience the Holy Spirit as our Comforter, Advocate, Helper, Teacher, Guide, and Reminder who sanctifies believers, empowers service, convicts the world of sin, affirms believers in righteousness, and convicts satan of judgment, producing spiritual fruit while imparting supernatural gifts. (John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; Galatians 5:16-18, 22-23; 2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

SALVATION:

We believe salvation is God’s free gift of grace received through faith, reconciling sinful people to Himself. We affirm that all have sinned and through conviction, repentance, confession, and faith in Christ’s resurrection, we become new creations—complete, whole, and empowered for divine purposes. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:9; Romans 10:9-10; John 6:44; Acts 2:38; Titus 3:4-7; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 17:3)

ETERNAL SECURITY:

We believe that in Christ we are eternally secure. We rest in Christ’s unshakeable protection, eternally secure through His finished work rather than our performance, remaining beyond the enemy’s power to harm our eternal standing with God. (Colossians 1:13-14; 1 John 5:18; John 10:28-29; Romans 8:38-39; Jude 1:24-25; Ephesians 1:13-14)

A NEW CREATION:

We believe the report of scriptures that faith in Jesus Christ makes us a new creation, where the old nature (Sin’s nature) has passed away and the new nature (Christ’s nature) is alive in us. We live as new creations from Christ’s nature of righteousness through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit rather than self-effort. (2 Corinthians 5:17, 21; Romans 6:4; Ephesians 4:24; Galatians 2:20; 2 Peter 1:4; Romans 3:22; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Colossians 3:9-10; Romans 8:1-4)

KINGDOM PRIORITIES:

We believe that Jesus preached the priority and divine order of seeking first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness as our primary pursuit. As we pursue His Kingdom, we express trust that our heavenly Father will faithfully add all necessary provisions to our lives. (Matthew 6:33; Philippians 4:19; Romans 8:32; Psalm 37:4; 2 Corinthians 9:8; 1 Peter 5:7)

UNITY IN THE GOSPEL:

We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ serves as our primary foundation for unity—that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and raised on the third day according to the testimony of the apostles and scripture. This essential truth transcends denominational differences, secondary positions, and doctrinal interpretation.(1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:4, 16; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; Ephesians 4:4-6, 11-13; John 17:20-21; Galatians 2:7-8; Philippians 1:27; Romans 15:5-6; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 2:19-22; Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Timothy 2:2)

KINGDOM LIVING:

We believe Jesus’ disciples serve as Christ’s Kingdom ambassadors, establishing God’s Kingdom and His will on earth until Christ returns. We represent His interests as citizens of heaven while demonstrating Kingdom culture through our lifestyle, relationships, and priorities. (2 Corinthians 5:20; 1 Peter 2:11; Matthew 6:10; Revelation 11:15; Philippians 3:20; Hebrews 11:13-16; Matthew 24:14; 1 Corinthians 15:24-25)

WORD OF GOD:

We believe all scripture is God-breathed and serves as the divine revelation of truth, perfectly expressing the very nature and character of Jesus Christ, who is Himself the eternal Word of God. Scripture is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, thoroughly equipping believers for every good work as the Holy Spirit reveals and applies truth to our hearts. The Word of God is alive and active, accomplishing His divine purposes and transforming lives according to Christ’s nature as we encounter the living Word through the written Word. (John 1:1, 14; John 14:6; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 17:17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 1 Corinthians 2:10-13; Isaiah 55:11; Psalm 119:105; 1 Peter 1:23)

BIBLICAL UNITY:

We believe in protecting unity while celebrating diversity, choosing honor over agreement, extending grace rather than accusation, and believing the best about one another while maintaining the bond of peace through humility, gentleness, and patience. Our role is to encourage each other in love, the works of Christ, and accountability to His call in our lives. (Hebrews 10:25-26; Ephesians 4:1-6; Romans 12:10; John 13:34-35; 1 Peter 2:17; 1 Corinthians 13:7; Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:14-15; Philippians 2:1-4; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13)

SPIRITUAL GIFTS:

We believe every individual has equal access to the full expression of spiritual gifts, including Five-Fold ministry gifts, supernatural gifts of grace and power gifts administered by the Holy Spirit, and natural talents—all essential for equipping saints and building up the body of Christ. We believe all gifts are essential to the full function and health of the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 1 Peter 4:10-11; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 14:12)

DIVINE PURPOSE:

We believe that every person was created, planned for, and purposed for God’s Kingdom, called to fulfill the full potential He created us for that He may be eternally glorified through individual calling while our lives make a Kingdom impact in this world. (Psalm 139:13-16; Ephesians 2:10; Jeremiah 1:5; 1 Peter 4:10-11; Isaiah 43:7; Romans 8:28-30; Philippians 2:13)

FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS:

We believe in God’s design for marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church, with sexual intimacy reserved exclusively for the marriage covenant and parents serving as primary authority in children’s lives. (Genesis 1:27; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-32; Hebrews 13:4; Proverbs 5:18-19; 1 Corinthians 7:2-3)

PROTECTING THE UNBORN:

We believe all human life is sacred and valued by God from conception to natural death, with protecting life in the womb as a high priority. While we will seek to protect the unborn, we understand that the mother’s life is sacred, too. We will advocate for the sanctity of all life by faith, extending grace, love, compassion, and understanding to women and families facing challenging circumstances. We believe that protecting the unborn means having compassion for women with unplanned pregnancies and loving them through the decision making process as they decide what is best for them and their baby. This position is Pro-Love over Pro-Life. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Exodus 20:13; Proverbs 31:8-9; Acts 17:25)

PROTECTING THE VULNERABLE:

We believe Jesus prioritizes the safety and protection of vulnerable people, supporting cooperation with legal and medical authorities in addressing abuse while recognizing that God’s heart for marriage doesn’t require enduring abuse or remaining in life-threatening situations. We will honor the law where issues of mandatory reporting requirements are concerned. (1 Corinthians 7:15; Romans 13:1-4; Psalm 82:3-4; Proverbs 31:8-9; Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27; Matthew 18:6; Proverbs 22:3; Exodus 21:10-11; Malachi 2:16-17)

SPIRITUAL VICTORY:

We acknowledge Satan’s existence as God’s adversary but proclaim by faith his defeat through Christ’s finished work. Believers are kept and protected by Christ, overcoming through the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony, and not loving our lives unto death. (1 Peter 5:8; John 8:44; Revelation 12:10-11; 1 John 3:8; Colossians 2:15; John 1:5; 1 John 5:18; James 4:7; Romans 8:37-39; 1 John 4:4)

HEAVEN & HELL:

We believe in the reality of Heaven and Hell—believers inheriting eternal life with Christ while those who reject or do not know Christ face eternal separation from God due to unbelief, and as believers, we are called to participate in spiritual warfare through sanctification, prayer, and demonstrating Christ’s love to bring the Kingdom of Heaven into the Earth. (John 3:16-18; Matthew 25:46; John 8:44; Revelation 20:11-15; Ephesians 6:10-18; James 4:7; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Romans 8:37-39; 1 John 5:4-5)
